Week 6 - books and yarn

Week six - a very busy week for me - printing approx 1200 labels, labelling approx 600 envelopes, stamping envelopes and then stuffing them all with Society magazines and Show Schedules and then B and I taking them all to the post office.   Good news is this will be the last one I am doing!!   Yay!!

Also had two club evening meetings, so it has been a busy time for me.

I have managed to keep up - just about- with the Granny a Day project, and also B's scarf which is coming along in leaps and bounds, but he says not long enough yet!   I think I need to start a more colourful project - Air Force blue is rather boring.

I did buy a book - Easy Beaded Crochet by Carol Meldrum.  It says it is easy and I hope it is.  The patterns look easy enough and I don't think they will need to have beads.    There are 30 designs for bags, cushions, sweaters, jewellery, scarves, wraps, hats and throws.   Should keep me busy for a while!

We called in at out local Hobbycraft shop yesterday and I picked up more yarn - I do love a good yarn shop!

Happy Grannying!

  1. Hi Gwen, I have this book too and it's GREAT! Just be careful to make sure that you translate the pattern from US to UK crochet terms or you'll end up with a lot of confusion!!
