Baby blanket

Remember the last time I wrote this blog I was about to start on a granny square baby blanket for a relatives baby due this summer?  I have been, almost, faithfully making one granny square a day apart from days when I have had to catch up and make extra or make some in advance. I am membership secretary of a National Society, so have had subs and membership forms arriving in every post since mid-December that have to be dealt with.  We had our AGM last weekend and things should settle down now and not be as busy it has been so far this year.

I am going to France for ten days later this week and as I had almost run out of the pale blue was thinking I should find another project to take with me.  We were not intending to shop before we go away, but we went into our nearest large village this morning for a couple of odds and ends and I got another ball of the pale blue so I can continue with the project when I am away.   I will probably run out of granny squares to do and will have to catch up when I get back.  So far I have made 68 squares, so still four short of the 72 I need to date, but I will get those done this evening.   We are travelling with another couple in their car, so I don't want to take too much wool with me, but I might take the beige, pink and brown granny square scarf with me and crochet an edge to it.

Happy grannying and I will report on progress at the end of the month.

  2. Oh - thank you Ali. Feel a bit of a cheat as I've not blogged about my crochet since before I went to France for ten days. I have been keeping up though. Maybe I'll take some snaps and write a post. Thank you.
